GODIVA VALENTINE'S TRAINING

Godiva was preparing for their updated Valentine's Day releases and training for their Chocolatiers. Priority was given to equipping North American stores to have COVID-safe precautions for guests, along with new product introductions and guided conversations for guest safety and product release. We handled a handled a majority of the setup for the ILT and vILT execution, for LMS-ready integration.

 

My task was to take the minimally-built client-provided content from its pre-existing form, to "chunk out" fundamental learning objectives, interaction cues, and learning anchors to tailor the client-facing training module.  

The outcome was an ILT live training internally with a VILT training, including Facilitator and Participant guides for post-launch.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Chocolatiers will be able to implement COVID-safe precautions effectively in North American stores, ensuring the safety of guests and staff during the Valentine's Day season.

  2. Chocolatiers will be able to confidently engage in guided conversations with guests, providing them with necessary information about product releases and ensuring a safe and pleasant experience.

ANALYSIS

Godiva wanted to update and transform the minimally-built content into a structured format by identifying and organizing their learning objectives, interaction cues via Storyline, and content learning anchors. 

The previous training was created for their international stores but lacked visual assets. With the new lockdown, the presentation was fully online, and the team was unprepared for the adjustments in asset regulation.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

I had to get creative with the development of the training. In my one-week preparation, I focused on the foundations: placing myself in the role of the clients- how do I translate new needs via vILT into palatable solutions given the information-to-timeframe ratio? With the sudden shift in training, from ILT to vILT , modules had to be consistent with the company branding, voice, and also with the cultural differences and accessibilities for the learners in mind.

IMPLEMENTATION

The implementation of the training was done with Articulate Storyline, with facilitator and participant guides for support.

EVALUATION

Successful launch of the Godiva Valentine's Day Training. We also set up the client for their own success in adding new deals, and designs, and adjusting promotions as needed.

It was a bit uncomfortable seeing image placeholders in the final delivery.
