1
ANALYSIS
In collaboration with Spark AR experts and third-party vendors, our team sought to advance the Spark AR Advanced Professional course, in order to advance the skills of users who graduated from the original course, Spark AR Studio. The course needed to offer over 5 hours of instructional content and include multiple hands-on Labs for each lesson included across instructors.
2
DESIGN
We setup interviews with the SMEs, who were all living in different countries at the time. After the Spark AR vendor confirmed which topics would be covered across the assessment, we create a document hosting all content for SMEs to enter, simplify, and finalize. All content was collected, and pages prototypes/developed content implementation and testing for learner ease of use.
3
DEVELOPMENT
We designed the online learning materials. This included further interviews with SMEs to finalize the content, and planning for the production of instructional videos. The content was implemented by the Editorial team, while the Learning Design team was tasked with video production, script-writing, and walking nervous SMEs through their video instruction.
4
IMPLEMENTATION
In implementation, we: 1) adjusted the deadline being moved up which required the teams to put in extra hours 2) removed the plan to release the project in multiple languages (German, Spanish, and Mandarin) due to deadline changes, and3) transcribing the course manually to ensure accessibility.
The course was implemented on Facebook Blueprint platform.
5
EVALUATION
The course was difficult to pass. Two of the three SMEs took the exam created by another team and passed at only 70%. Course learner evaluations were observed by another team and not shared.
The Advanced Course garnered significant interest, with 70,000 creators signing up before the delivery date. This high demand marked its position as one of the most sought-after courses on Facebook Blueprint.
