Deliverable: ILT, job aid
Target Audience: Corporate team members
ID Model: ADDIE

1
ABOUT THE PROJECT
I agreed to use the existing content to build a more engaging eLearning experience, but also proposed developing an immersive evaluative scenario at the end of each course. I explained that this would help team members practice their new skills by exhibiting more productive choices in a mid-risk environment. The client was on board with my proposal.
2
PROCESS
By leveraging their existing content, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and human resources team leaders, I used a rapid prototyping approach to build all five courses:
1. Stress and Resilience
2. Controlling Attention
3. Effective Communication
4. The Power of Presence
5. Fostering Peace
3
CHALLENGES
Describe your service here. What makes it great? Use short catchy text to tell people what you offer, and the benefits they will receive. A great description gets readers in the mood, and makes them more likely to go ahead and book.
4
INSIGHT
I used these objectives to guide ensuing content design decisions, cutting content that did not align with objectives. Along with additional research to build out gaps in pre-existing content, I brainstormed visual design that would also support HR objectives.
I chunked and structured the content to make it easy to understand.
5
STRATEGY
I designed each branching scenario by hosting a 1-2 hour meeting with the SME. I led the meeting by helping the SME identify a scenario where the team member would have to use the skills learned from the course's core content.
6
RESULTS
Working on this project taught me how powerful branching scenarios could be when paired with an expert practitioner with rich experience to draw from. Branching scenarios are an excellent tool for engaging learners and improving our real-world performance.
